Scene:
- Busy, crowded call center. Agents in seats or standing; generally blocking the aisles.
- Me, trying to maneuver my way around them with a too large/too heavy box in my hands.
- 5, count them FIVE, young male managers standing around with their thumbs up their asses.
Not ONE of these guys could be bothered to help me let alone offer to open a door for me. Not with the first nor the sixth box I needed to load in my car. Now mind you, I'm very capable of lifting heavy objects and it is a necessary part of my job, but really. Show me some love.

It's up to the mama's to raise the boys right....I married a good one. My co-workers are good ones. Chivalry is not dead.....yet.
This annoys me. I remember having to move a computer & monitor from a therapist's office to my car when I was 7 1/2 months pregnant. Could the 50 something year old male therapist offer to help me lift it? No, he could not.

I have been in that situation myself. I wonder if they are afraid to insult your independence? Who cares! If the box is heavy, offer to help - it doesn't matter if they are male or female, they could at least offerr!
Those guys were lame, I would totally help a guy or a woman or whomever needed it. Thumbs in buttcracks, you are right.
I really hate that!
When we lived in Florida my van was in an accident and when I went to bring it to get fixed it died in an intersection. It was pouring rain and I was going in for an induction the next day (41 weeks prego) I was pushing the van out of the way and a Delray Beach police officer drove out around me. He wouldn't even look at me. What an ass
wow... that's pretty rude. if i ever hear that my sons did that i'm going to kick their butt.
I seriously think chivalry is dead, sometimes. So sad.
It is not sexist to expect a little human kindness. Wouldn't you help a struggling man with a big box?
