Isn't he though? I love possums. Or is it opossums?
We're relocating them because they're driving the neighborhood pets NUTS. We haven't slept for a couple of weeks because all the dogs(and there are many!) on the block start barking at 3:00 am and don't stop until the sun comes up. These poor critters can't find food - save for what's in our compost and garbabge pails - and I think will be happier in the woods behind the airport.
Plus the children are getting some very fun and up close lessons on wild animals...
Opossum - pretty harmless unless you have a horse - 'possum poo carries a protozoa VERY harmful to horses (yea, I know TMI) - I don't imagine there are many horses at the airport so horray for relocation!

Awww, he is cute. Cute behind bars.
Someone crushed a skunk in front of our house last night it smells horrid here.
I think he's adorable.
Why are you catching all of these creatures?

Ewww, so not cute. One year a possum gave birth under our pool deck, the babies were not cute either. I hope he and the raccoon are happy together!
At least yours was alive, I always have to scoop the dead ones out of the pool! Yuck.
