Housekeeper

I did it.

I hired a housekeeper.

I've dreamed of this moment for a long time.

Now mind you, he's not exactly what I envisioned:

6'2"

Blond hair

Blue eyes

Doesn't speak a lick of English...

Nope.

He's not even Swedish.

In fact, he was born in Massachusetts.

But I think he'll do.

Everyone: Meet Rolf

Rolf Roomba

He's the new love of my life.

Right up there with our other hired hand, Sven.

OK so you REALLY like it? We have been debating getting one of these for a long time, and now with FOUR cats, I can see it being more of a toy for them to chase rather than a "serious household appliance" for me to go ga-ga over.

Wow! Let us know how Rolf works out! I have always wondered if those things really work well.

Does he do windows?

My husband bought me one a few months ago. It was the best day ever.

It gives me a little thrill to hear it working while I'm eating ice cream on the couch.

I would like a Rolf! We currently have Sven's great-grandfather in our house. He's a little unpredictable these days and apparently incontinent because there's often a tiny pool...

Are you into that?

Ralf is a cutie! I've been eyeing those for a while too. What made you take the plunge?

Oh, I'm so jealous. I had one of the original Roombas and it died about a year ago. I still miss it. It would go under beds, did great on hardwood, great in the kitchen, picked up cat hair. I'm going to start saving my pennies for a Rolf of my own.

LOL! I was yelling "NO FAIR" in my head as I read this (b/c my housecleaners are a bunch of women), and then laughed at loud at your reveal.

My sister LOVES her Roomba---although hers goes my "Rosie" (Jetson reference).

Hope Rolf keeps you totally satisfied. ; )

Okay, I'm glad Rolf and Sven turned out to be appliances because I really did feel awful about the nasty comment I was about to leave in my jealousy-induced state.

I have been coveting a strapping young hottie by the name of Dyson, but he's a little out of my league, if you know what I mean. :(
