Great Moments in Parenting

Hey boys, wanna play in the dirt? Here are some really sharp, dirty and dangerous garden tools! You just go play over there where Daddy-O can't see you while Mama goes to the grocery store! Now, no fighting! Have fun! I'll be back soon!

Less than 10 minutes later...Ring, ring...

Hi Daddy-O. What's up? What? OMG!!! He's bleeding?! Does he need stitches?!?!

I don't think Owen intentionally struck Finn on the top of his head with the garden rake, but then again, no one witnessed it.

So, yeah, we're great parents.

PS: He's fine and did not need to go to the hospital...

Perhaps you should read them the Bible passage about turing their weapons into garden tools and not vice versa. Then again, my guys can make a piece of cheese into somethign dangerous.

I need to figure out how to "giggle" in this comment form.

;)

I'm glad no one bled to death!

I'm so sorry but I can't stop laughing. The smae thing happens here to. Yesterday Marian wouldn't move and Dane threw a toy bug catcher blower thing at her and now she has a black eye and it's swollen shut. This all happened while daddy sat next to Marian on the couch.

Oh geez, I hate when that happens and uh sometimes it is intentional. I love when I witness that. Ugh.

It's funny in the kind of way that only another mom would think this is funny. It's also terrifying.

Glad no one needed stitches. That wouldn't have been so funny.

You forgot the part where you then yell and hubby and blame him for not watching the kids better! ;)

Time outdoors is almost always worth it, even if it ends in minor bloodshed.

Um, my daughter rolled down a flight of stairs when she was 10 months old because she crawled away from me too fast. (Wha????)

There! Don't you feel like a better parent now? ;)
